2. Group Discussion (Conditional)

This round is optional and varies by college or drive. A topic is given to a group of 5-6 participants who discuss it for about 5-10 minutes. Candidates must first introduce themselves and then present their opinion on the given topic while respecting others' viewpoints. This round evaluates communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and the ability to articulate ideas in a group setting.

3. Technical Interview

A one-on-one interview lasting approximately 15-30 minutes. The interviewer covers technical subjects mentioned on the candidate's resume, core CS subjects including OOP concepts, DBMS and SQL, Data Structures, and Operating Systems. Candidates may be asked to write basic programs, explain algorithms (like DFS, BFS), write SQL queries, and discuss academic projects in detail. The focus is on conceptual clarity and the ability to explain thought processes.

3.1. Interview Panels

Technical Panel: Evaluates core technical knowledge, programming skills, DSA proficiency, and domain understanding through concept-based questions and problem-solving tasks.

HR Panel: Assesses communication skills, personality, cultural fit, career goals, and alignment with Mphasis values.

4. HR Interview

The final round lasting 10-20 minutes. This round assesses self-introduction, career goals, strengths and weaknesses, knowledge about Mphasis (founding year, CEO, services, strategy), willingness to relocate and work in shifts, salary expectations, and overall personality and communication skills. The HR interviewer also provides information about Mphasis's work environment, benefits, and growth opportunities.

5. Final Selection / Offer

After clearing all rounds, candidates receive offer letters. Mphasis provides structured onboarding training programs combining Instructor-Led Training (ILTs), Virtual ILTs, and eLearning. There is no formal probation period. Freshers begin working on client projects after completing the training program. The work location is decided based on the job or project assignment.
